My name is Kyle Mitchell. I am a resident of Vancouver, Canada. Currently I am living in Glasgow, Scotland and pursuing a PhD in sociology at the University of Strathclyde. The study of the commons is central to my work. Specifically, I am studying the commodification and privatization of fresh water goods and services in a dissertation I have entitled, “The Political Economy of Fresh Water: Liberal Democracy, The Ascendancy of Transnational Corporate Private Property and the Paradox of the Fresh Water Commons.”
